Kids Ministry

Vision

At MCC Kids, our heart is to help children take their first steps toward a lifelong faith journey. Inspired by Proverbs 22:6, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it”, we are committed to creating a safe, loving, and vibrant environment where kids can explore who God is and grow spiritually.

Through age‑appropriate Bible stories, interactive teaching, prayer, and scripture engagement, we guide kids in understanding God’s love in a way they can grasp. We also believe faith isn’t just learned on Sundays, so we partner with families, offering take‑home materials, social media supports, and parent resources, to help spiritual growth continue at home. Our ministry is supported by devoted volunteers who love Jesus and love children, trained and empowered to build meaningful connections and ensure every child is known, valued, and encouraged.

Nursery/Preschool

We welcome children as young as 8 weeks, providing loving care and spiritual nurture from the start. Preschool classes are grouped by age and developmental stage to meet each child’s needs. From toddlers on, kids enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons that help them learn who God is and how much He loves them.
Our Preschool Wing includes four classrooms:

Babies

Toddlers

2's & 3's

4's & 5's

Elementary

Our Elementary Ministry helps kids grow in their understanding of God’s Word and develop a lasting, personal faith. We provide a fun, age-appropriate environment where children explore Scripture, ask questions, and build meaningful relationships. Classrooms are divided into:

Kindergarten & 1st Grade

2nd & 3rd Grade

4th & 5th Grade

We use the Answers Bible Curriculum from Answers in Genesis—a chronological study that helps kids see the big picture of Scripture and understand both what they believe and why. Each lesson applies God’s truth to everyday life, helping build a strong foundation of faith. To learn more about the curriculum we use, visit answersingenesis.org/school/answers-bible-curriculum/

Pre-Registration

There are so many questions when encountering a new church. What do they believe? Who are the pastors and leaders? How can I meet people here or get involved?
Encounter happens once in every season and we hope you will join us for an incredible brunch after our 11am service as we get to know each other, answer these questions, and more. Mission City Church pastors and leaders will sit at each table to hear your story and share a little about ours. We invite you to do more than just listen. Come Encounter what this church community is all about!

FAQ

What time should I arrive to check my child(ren) in?

MC Kids opens 15 minutes prior to the start of each service. We open at 8:45 am and again at 10:45 am for check-in.

Does my child have to addtend children's ministry?

  • Not at all. While we love welcoming kids into our Children's Ministry and believe they will learn, grow, and have a great time, we fully respect that every family is different.
You know what’s best for your child, and we support whatever choice works best for your family. Children are always welcome to sit with their families in the main service if that’s what you prefer. Whether your child joins us in Children's Ministry or stays with you in service, we’re just glad your family is here!

Do you serve snacks during children's ministry?

To help protect all kids in our care, especially those with food allergies, we do not serve snacks during Children's Ministry and ask that no outside food be brought into the classrooms.
If your child tends to get hungry during this time, we recommend offering them a snack right before drop-off. Some families also like to bring a snack to have ready when they pick their child up after service.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep all children safe and comfortable!
